The Joiners, Southampton Rock has returned.
Southern based 6 Minutes To Sunrise recently released their new single.
I’ve been awaiting the release of “Sordid and Immoral” EP with interest as I’ve not seen the band since the recruitment of new girl on vox, Adrienne Cowan. Female vocals are always a worry to me as sometimes they can be the weak link, too thin for a rock band. Well hell, any worries on […] ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

Talking Heads, Southampton The first indication that this is not your usual mid-week gig is the two bloody great tour buses filling the car park and the piles of gear in the smoking area. A good turnout is usually 100 people, tonight The Heads is rammed, and I mean rammed.
Gamma is a 5 track offering from Bournemouth Indie band Vlad, and it’s a gem.
Bournemouth-based troubadour Tom Whitman returns with the first cut from his sophomore album. “Walk of the Moment” precedes the new record “From the dear green place”, scheduled for release early next year.
The Joiners, Southampton Darkness descends on the stage, as the much anticipated set is about to begin. The band pause – adding to the electric tension building up – before storming the arena as drums, bass and vocals connect to blaze out their classic hard rock anthems in front of the bouncing, packed out crowd.
The brainchild of Ian Mortimer, Skin For A Canvas – one-man acoustic ambient project – tries to deliver something to the ears of its listeners. What it tries to deliver though, I’m not too sure. Don’t get me wrong, the album is good.
“Tender/Violet” is the title of the wonderful 5-track EP by Portsmouth’s Race Car Hearts, which is the creative guise for English singer/songwriter Chris Perrin.
