They say all good things come in 3’s… 3, is the magic number… The mercurial hat-trick. There’s just something a little extra special when it comes to this numerical enigma. The 3-man-outfit of The Outlaw Orchestra have imbibed this mythical power and are ready to launch a musical offensive with their 3rd studio album out 18th October.

“La Familia” has seen too change their studio and production, with the influential Rogue Studios’ very own Alessio Garavello at the forefront of production engineering. His own exceptional ear for music and experiences as a world touring musician with “A New Tomorrow” and vocalist for the band Dragon Force – this was never going to be a ‘Country’ album…

“The new album has a harder rock edge to it, but also a lot of subtlety, mixed with a little angst and rebellion. It’s taken 12 moths to come together – but it’s still a photograph in time of where you were and the mindset you were in – La Familia reflects this feeling.” says frontman Dave Roux, who cites Alessio’s role in driving, curating, and incubating the living entity that created this album.

While Ryan Smith loves complex percussion and rhythm parts, Dave brings a Latin rock feel which he loves, and Pete Briley has a plethora of unusual instruments which not only brings the ‘Orchestra’ to the fore, but combined it allows the band to take the Outlaw sound a little south of the border. With echoes of 70’s rock influences such as The Who, Santana, Fleetwood Mac, the essence remains unmistakably Outlaw Orchestra.

So how to best understand what La Familia is all about – we will leave it in the words of the band; “The family. In nutshell its describes all live music fans. It is a salute to those who go to live shows, play an instrument, own a venue, the sound men and roadies who help the musician get their sound and setup, its all of us who see each other every weekend all across the country, and fellow bands we see on the road – we are one big family who love the camaraderie. La Familia.”

The Outlaw Orchestra – this 3-piece from Southampton are bred from twin loves of rock-and-roll and irreverence. They’re an ‘Orchestra’ because they’re very fine musicians and they’re ‘Outlaw’ because they exude that Saturday night hell-raising, foot-stamping escapism that you look for in live music entertainment. And entertainers they are. Ask the biggest crowd ever pulled at Ramblin Man’s Rising Stage, or any of the audience from their repeat invitations at the Sheffield O2 because, from club-stage to festival-stage, their magic keeps on working.

They have graced the same bills as The Darkness, Brothers Osborne and supported Kris Barras Band on his 2018 UK tour. As their amazing second album, ‘Makin’ Tracks’ shows, these guys are serious musicians, whose recordings and live shows underscore their incredible talent. Tracks from the new album have featured on Planet Rock, BBC 6 Music, Chris Country, and HRH Radio.

In November 2021, The Outlaw Orchestra toured with Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons and 2022 has been a whirlwind of shows including Black Deer Festival, Wickham Festival, Buckle and Boots and the HRH 15th Anniversary with artists such as James, Van Morrison, Cut Capers, Skid Row and Ugly Kid Joe as well as a 2nd Covers EP and Christmas Single.
