The Fallen State have recently released their new single “River”, the track is taken from their next album “Between Hope and Disillusion”. It’s amongst the first recordings featuring the band’s new vocalist Adam Methven (formerly of The Addiction), who has mighty shoes to fill replacing Ben Stenning after he announced his recent departure. Adam was unveiled by the band on their recent single “Knives”, which achieved some extremely positive reactions from the press and fans alike. The band explains that they are excited by this new chapter with their more mature, stronger sound and say they remain unbroken by cancer, along with anything else that 2020/21 had to throw at them. They are also delighted to welcome back Dan Oke on guitar after a successful battle against lung cancer.
The track is a twin-guitar melodic gem, which sees the band soaring to new heights with an uplifting slice of atmospheric modern Rock. Adam’s voice is a powerful cross between Thirty Seconds to Mars’s Jared Leto and Don Broco’s Rob Damiani, with plenty of different elements being explored here. This is backed by a band who despite all that has happened in their journey, have found a new creative streak that will push the band once again to the forefront. This track, along with their previous release “Knives” gives us a preview of what these guys have up their sleeves for the new album. Their upcoming January 2021 tour sees the band joining forces with the mighty “Stone Broken” and “Phil X” in a line-up that is sure to drag gig hungry fans from their homes.
