Bournemouth Indie quartet Mad Simple have released the next instalment of tracks from their recording sessions at the Ranch Production House studio in Hampshire with Daly George. The new track is called “With Me” and singer Craig explains “is about embracing change in the face of adversity and taking these experiences forward in life in a positive way. As long as you have that guiding light, it can show the way through the darkness. This song shows the band’s new found musical style and expression. It embodies this in every sense for Mad Simple”
With the band’s recent line-up shuffles the outfit have found a new momentum and a creative streak that has spanned these new songs “With Me”. With an initial rumble of bass, we are then straight into the vocal, before the melodic guitars kick in. There are some flickers of familiarity as I’ve heard this track played by the band live before. It’s very easy on the ears, with it’s simplistic rhythms and hooky vocals it almost has a Punk/Pop feel to it. The guitar breakdowns are well put together and work really well with the rest of the instrumentation. As with the last single “Shining” there is a marked improvement in the vocals and I feel this is an area where singer Craig has worked on getting it just right. The song ends with an infectious flurry of whoa whoa whoa’s that do their job and leave a lasting impression.
Mad Simple are…
Craig Barker – Vocals/Guitar
James Sawyer – Guitar
Bradley McHugh – Lead Guitar
