on Friday 24th March in the Sherling Studio

Performing original material alongside their own interpretations of traditional songs, The Salts – who play Lighthouse Poole on Friday 24 March – are one of the most exciting and energetic bands at work in British roots music.

Their live shows have been going down a storm throughout the UK at festivals and venues alike, featuring classic songs of the sea from ‘Bound for South Australia’, to ‘Blow the Man Down’ and ‘Drunken Sailor’ as well as their own carefully crafted original songs. Capturing the moment that 21st century Folk music fires a broadside at the traditional, their latest album Brave received rave reviews across the board with radio plays all over the UK and abroad.

Fronted by twice BBC Young Folk Finalist Lee Collinson, The Salts won the Introducing… stage at the Great British Folk Festival performing a range of instruments with great vocal harmonies that are guaranteed to get the crowd singing and dancing along.
