Smiley Liberator & DJ Ed-Liner at Farnborough Football on 3rd June

Pete Cole and his Blag Promotions team are providing support and generosity to Local Hampshire Charity The Zone. Who support families living with autism and similar conditions in Hart, Rushmoor and surrounding areas. They are run by parents and carers who volunteer to support other families in the area so that they are able to find the information, advice and support they need to make coping with daily life less of a challenge.

Pete is putting on a gig at the Farnborough Football Club, where he has become a regular with these big-hearted events. The gig features The Outcast Band, who is a high-energy roots-rock band originally from the Hampshire/Surrey borders. They have played over 500 shows to date with audiences from London to Berlin at festivals including Glastonbury, Guilfest, Wychwood, Trowbridge, Acoustic Festival of Britain and Heineken Big Tops. The band have distinctive vocals, raw folk instrumentals and fresh, poetic lyrics. Every gig is an unforgettable experience.

In Support of The Outcast Band is a special unique ‘One Off’ Smiley Liberator are a one-off acoustic collaboration featuring Steve ‘Smiley’ Barnard who has a musical CV as long as your arm. He has performed for The Mock Turtles, Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, The Alarm, Archive and a spell with Robbie Williams touring band. The duo is completed by Billy Liberator a singer/songwriter from working who has performed with his band The Orbiteers and also as a solo artist. Billy and Smiley became good friends after working on Billy’s album together at Smiley’s Sunshine studios in Fleet. Expect tunes from Smiley’s latest album “Puzzled” and Billy’s “In Your Headspace in Your Dreams”.

DJ Ed-Liner of Kick Radio will be on hand before and between the acts, banging out indie/pop/punk/folk tunes.
