The Acoustic Connection is a monthly Dorset music showcase event put together by two passionate musicians Kez Hinton and Elaine Richmond. The event is open to all ages and all genres; inviting local musicians to come along to perform for around 15 minutes each. The focus is mainly on original music with a few reworked cover versions welcomed too.

Each event is streamed live and videoed for all in the world to see. It’s free entry, so if you just want to come and watch the musicians perform live you can. It is also a great place to network and to meet up with like-minded musicians in a welcoming environment. Also as a budding musician, any help or advice is on hand from Elaine and Kez on how to progress your career with experienced help and advice on hand.

The Richmond Arms, Bournemouth – 1st Tuesday of every month from 7.30pm

The Brewery Tap Blandford – 1st Thursday of the month from 7pm

Talent Showcase – Absolute Music Cafe – The 2nd and 4th Sunday every month from 12pm Noon

The Cricketers Arms, Wimborne – 3rd Sunday of every month from 7pm

The Elephant and Castle West Moors – Last Sunday every month from 6pm

The Tap and Grape – Last Tuesday every month from 7.30pm
