Hampshire band Siobhán & the Sunset Haze who is based in Southampton, formed in 2019 and following their recent single “Drunken Carnival” the band is set to release their next single “Raise Your Glass”. The song was recorded locally at several different locations, including The “Ranch Production House” in Southampton and “Quay West Studios” in Gosport. Siobhán explains “the track was written during the ups and downs of student life before the world went upside down in 2020; Raise Your Glass is a song about the never-ending prospect of life catching up with you and even though things are changing as you grow older, who you are inside never truly changes. But who you’ve become is thanks to those who’ve raised you, those who’ve stuck around and those you’ve had to leave behind along the way but still have a love for. It’s a bittersweet anthem of a matter of life and love, appreciating how far you’ve come and celebrating all the good times had and to be had in the future”.
“Raise Your Glass” is the lead single off the band’s forthcoming debut EP and is an uplifting slice of Folk/Rock with Siobhán’s wonderfully warm, smooth and controlled vocal tone. This is ably backed by the rousing toe-tapping rhythms along with some impressive melodic guitar work. The track is one that I more than expect to come across well live and connect with audiences; who will certainly react favourably to an infectious well-created tune such as this. Siobhán & the Sunset have a fresh new line-up for 2022/23, along with big ambitions and would suit the line-ups of many of Dorset and Hampshire’s festivals.
