This month sees the release of the third single by the Berlin-based duo of Irish-born musician Craig Walker (Archive/Power of Dreams) and Canadian producer/multi-instrumentalist Erik Alcock. “Junkie Sunset” explains Craig “takes us back to the heroin-ravaged Dublin of the mid 1980’s, as the drug rips through the city causing untold misery and many casualties. Seen through the eyes of a young teenager growing up in Dublin, the lyrics are the observations of a kid who is trying to make sense of the world he finds himself in”.

With its very addictive percussive element and Craig’s silky smooth vocal delivery, the song dreamily takes us through a descriptive lyrical journey of a ticking time bomb in Ireland’s and much of the Worlds history. This atmospheric piece brings together a feast of creative talent that delivers a host of musical adventures. The duo’s combined CV features an eclectic mix with many collaborations and together Walker & Alcock have amassed over 2 billion streams of songs they have either performed, written or produced to date. The new track is an hors d’oeuvres to the duo’s debut album, How To Mourn A Glacier, that is set to be released in January 2023.
