Wiltshire singer-songwriter Isobel Thatcher this week releases a brand new single titled “Forget”; which was recorded at “Tunnel Rat Recording Studios” in Wiltshire, featuring a team of hand-picked musicians. These include Isobel’s brother Dominic Thatcher on Alto Saxophone, her Father Tom Thatcher on bass/lead guitar, Jolyon Dixon on piano with Chris Kirby-Williams adding the drums and percussion. The track itself has been sat in the archives for a while awaiting its release date and is finally unveiled to the world on 15th October.

The singer uses her smoldering vocal delivery to give the song its main emphasis, with the track being surrounded by a lovely mix of different textures. A typical Blues break-up song with the regret, sorrow and a sizable amount of jealousy – however, there is optimism… “Forget about the bad times and focus on you and me”. These feelings are accentuated by Dominic’s sax delivery; combined by a good blend of acoustic and electric guitars, coupled with bursts of piano. The realization that a losing battle is being fought over a failing relationship soon dawns and the understanding helps make the one obvious decision. A great tune that continues Isobel’s growing legacy of tunes that deliver each time.
