The last year has been a challenging, if not threatening, time for bands and musicians around the world: it was a time of uncertainty, doubt and the underlying fear of not being able to return to the live circuit. But metal bands have never been ones who can easily be brought down by difficult circumstances: and so the Finnish hard rockers LORDI are heading out to visit the big stages in the world again.
Next spring the Swedish band SABATON will take you to 26 different cities in 17 countries and bring their modern metal to the people. Among other things, they are accompanied by the heavy metal veterans LORDI.
The Finnish hard rock and melodic heavy metal band LORDI was founded in 1992 by singer, songwriter, visual art designer and costume maker Mr. Lordi. The band is known for their monster outfits and elements of horror in their stage shows and music videos. With catchy songs and cracking riffs, the horror lyrics are burned into the listener’s brain, whether you want to or not. LORDI’s brazen and shameless combination of 80s Melodic Heavy Metal and that hideous horror image immediately caught the attention of the rock world and genre fans around the world. The band’s live shows are notorious for their horror-movie-like quality appearances and the bombastic use of pyrotechnics. So you can look forward for next spring – witnessing LORDI back on stage.
