We Are Robot are a fine local band who formed in 2014, and are made up of 3 college friends and a Rock bassist from the 1970s. Since forming they have recorded two albums, “Ghostbuskers” in 2015 and “Take a Waltz On The Wild Side” in 2017. They have also performed at virtually all the major venues within the local vicinity and a few further afield. The band are also primed to deliver an upbeat party covers set for Weddings, Parties and other events.
Like the rest of the country during the pandemic lockdowns, they have had time on their hands and have clearly used it wisely by putting together an hour-long documentary all about the band and all their associated acts. They have a far-reaching family tree, which is traced back before any of them even started playing music. It’s a fascinating insight into the long sometimes difficult journey that a band goes through. If you are interested in the local music scene like me; the documentary features plenty of rare previously unseen footage featuring Matt Black, Emma Hardy, Nathan Kay, Samantha Laurilla, Blacksmith, Travis and many more. The documentary entitled ‘The Origins of W.A.R’ is available now on Youtube and can be viewed on the link below.
