News: Palm Ghosts – “Static Swell” Announce new single on 1st December

Nashville, TN. based dream-pop act Palm Ghosts are set to release their new single Static Swell via Golden Robot Records on December 1st. Musically inspired by late 80s/ early 90s shoegaze and psychedelic pop sounds from the UK, Static Swell from Palm Ghosts observes the confusion of living in today’s world…from toxic partisan politics and the pandemic to the 24-hour news cycle, it’s impossible not to feel isolated.
Static Swell is textured, atmospheric and incredibly addictive Static Swell will no doubt see Palm Ghosts pique the attention of fans of their influences whilst digging their way into the aural senses of a new of batch of fans, high on current day dream pop.
Led by songwriter and producer Joseph Lekkas, Palm Ghosts take cues from such bands as Cocteau Twins, Peter Gabriel, Echo and The Bunnymen, New Order, early U2 and The Cure. Palm Ghosts take the sounds of early 80s alternative music and brings it into the new millennium. Palm Ghosts self-released three records before signing with Golden Robot Records. Their self-titled debut is a tapestry of lo-fi folk and indie pop. Their second record, Greenland, consists of songs that walk the line of electronic, indie and Americana music. In May of 2017 Palm Ghosts finally found their sound with the release of Architecture, a critically lauded collection of cinematic dream pop songs.
