Cambridge 5-piece Rock band The Hot One Two (Aka T.H.O.T) have just released their new single “Rolling Stone”. The guys have put a modern spin on the original Classic Rock sound of the 70s and 80s. They have fast become a staple within their local Rock Community and NWOCR (New Wave of Classic Rock) scene with their bold, energetic and intense live shows. The band introduce the song with a video which consists of footage they managed to capture this year (pre-COVID), from our only two shows of 2020 in Copenhagen and Cambridge. Drummer Joe Chivers explains “we’ve so missed performing, and we just hope sharing this footage helps to reignite your excitement for live music once again; because there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and all your favourite bands will be gracing their stages hopefully again sometime soon”.
The humble collective of musicians say that the new tune is a salute to Classic “feel good” Rock. “It’ll have you wanting to jump in the car on a sunny day; put the windows down, the speakers up and hit the open road”. It’s certainly one of those feel-good tracks that encapsulates everything exciting about the whole Classic Rock sound. With its precise hard-hit drum beats; combined with the heavy rumbling bass rhythms and epic melodic twin guitars, it really hits the spot. The music is accentuated with huge soaring vocal delivery, along with crowd-rousing harmonies. The video indeed shows the band in full energetic flow and certainly shows what a force the band are.
