at the Old Fire Station
Creativity For Positive Change is set to be a euphoric night of music and sonic creativity in support of the very deserving charity the Samaritans. It will include an eclectic mix of genres featuring Punk, Rock, Folk, Poetry, singer-songwriters and even a bit of improvised Acid House. The bill includes a host of great local acts Wattsy AF, Bird Shoes, Absolute Block, Cherry Sounds, Free Foundation, Circus of Dis, Cause For Control, Ethereal, Mark Carter The Singing Trade Unionist, Superb Owl, and Worst Case Scenario.
In 2019 we saw an alarming rise in mental health cases in Bournemouth and it’s surrounding areas especially on the railway. The work that the Samaritans do has been highlighted more than ever recently. The Samaritans are a friendly voice at the end of the telephone line to help people who are in desperate need. They have time and time again saved lives by just having the ability to listen and offering positive words. People need to know there is someone they can talk to when they think there is no hope.
The Event is essentially a fundraising event with all proceeds going to the charity along with raising awareness of its work in association with the Samaritans, SWR, Absolute Music, The Old Fire Station.
It takes place on the 18th April & doors open at 5pm with first act up straightaway, tickets are £5 and available here.
