The Burrow Announce Gigs at The Mary Shelly Theatre in Boscombe
The local Bournemouth record label, studio and general music hub The Burrow have just secured a regular slot at the historic Shelly Theatre in Boscobel, Bournemouth. The Beechwood Avenue theatre was built in 1801 as Boscombe Cottage by Philip Norris and named after the English writer Mary Shelly who is famous for writing gothic novel Frankenstein. The on going restoration of the theatre started in September 2008 by a team of dedicated volunteers who opened the partially restored theatre’s doors in 2010 with their first play “Frankenstein”. Check out a sneak peek of how the restoration is coming along;
The Burrow have so far arranged 3 nights at the Theatre in May/June to feature bands from their label with the first kicking off with Beartown Zodiac, Kadia, and Lawrence Yeats on the Sunday 4th May. The second features the ever popular Disco’s Out (Murders In) supported by Not Made In China on Wednesday 7th May. On the 8th June the gig will feature Plates, Yaard, and Tom Daniel Moon.
