Best Of Bournemouth : Gigs & Rigs
Local music events firm “Gigs & Rigs” have announced a new battle of the bands competition to take place at the Talbot Pub in Winton, Bournemouth starting on Saturday 26th April. The contest is open to any local artists who play music, so whether you are a covers or originals band, solo artist, duo you are all more than welcome to enter. The contest starts with the initial heats which will be voted by the fans on the night, with semi final’s and a final in June which will be judged by people from the local music scene.
The event is sponsored by local music firm Absolute Music and it is the first event of it’s kind since the Dorset Music Awards in 2012. The eventual winner will receive a host of prizes including 8 Hours Recording time, Music Video Filmed/Edited, Interview & Acoustic session on Hope Fm and some pre arranged paid local gigs. Lots of local bands have already submitted entries to the event and this should be a fantastic showcase of the best music that Bournemouth has to offer. If you are not in a band and you would like to come along and support the local music scene entry is free and I am sure the bands would apprecaite your support.
