The best smile in Bournemouth bar none is always given by Steve Perry, the front man of legendary Bournemouth band Disco’s Out (Murder’s In).
His passion for music and lust for life is so infectious and his life seems complete now after recently getting married to Ruth and having a daughter called “Molly”. It has been a long four years since he has graced the Hope Fm studio, but after a collection of bribes from myself and Conrad, Steve finally agreed to return for a chat and acoustic session. Armed with an acoustic guitar and a kazoo he entertained the “Live Wire Live” listeners with a string of great songs and some very lively banter.
Steve has been part of the local music scene for over 15 years now starting of with his 1st band “Rushing With Apathy ” after being head hunted after an early acoustic set in Boscombe. As well as Disco’s Out (Murders In), he has been part of many side projects including “El Bosco”, “Hope & The New Flower Generation” and a solo project “Citizen Perez”. As Citizen Perez he has played many gigs delighting audiences with stripped down versions of DOMI songs as well as a string of new material. Steve performed three songs in the studio and exclusive videos of his performance can be seen below.
