Hope FM Studio, Bournemouth
28th August 2013
2011 Dorset Music Award winners Fearne have so far had a very busy 2013, the band have kept their momentum going since winning their award with the release of a brand new third album “Songs On Postcards”.
The album was released using the online website “Pledgemusic” where an army of the band’s loyalest fans pledged money to help with the recording of the album. The album was finally released at a special launch party at one of the band’s favourite venues; Centre Stage in Bournemouth, where the band performed to a capacity crowd. A review of the evening can be read here.
The band have continued to gig regularly and have put in some great performances this year at some of the areas major festivals including Tone Fest, Larmer Tree and The Village Pump Festival-with a further date at the Boscombe Community Fair on the 14th September planned. The band are also giving people the chance to see them perform live in their own home as part of their “Living Room Tour”. If you are interested e-mail the band direct at band@fearnemusic.com. Three members of Fearne; Alex, Nick and their newest member Rob “Guns” Boivin found time within the band’s usually hectic schedule to come along to the Hope FM studio to join myself and Tim Heywood for an interview and four song acoustic session, the exclusive videos of these can be seen below.
