The SHINDIG returns with full effect after a little winter rest. We’ve gathered another eclectic lineup of top local talent especially to celebrate St George’s Day.
A festival of fun, right up your street!
We’ve got:
Kentucky Fight Club – KFC are Dorset’s premier Americana/Cowpunk band – think Cash meets the Clash. Years of experience on the hoedown scene have been ignored to produce a high energy blend of classic hoedown, with a hint of ska and and edge of punk.
The Gutter Rats – Local lads, living the punk dream. Expect driving bass and nifty punk licks from this local outfit, set to entertain. You’ll need your pogoing boots on as they mix well known punk classics with original material.
Slap-Dash-Picks – This Duo have been tirelessly been putting the Rock back into the Hillbilly scene in Dorset, wowing the crowds with their strip backed, high octane style. Stylish guitar work from Sugar Hand Dave is matched by Rob’s Slap Bass as they take you on a trip from Hank Williams to Johnny Cash to Nancy Sinatra.
Tim ‘Afro-Ninja’ Somerfield – The Afro-Ninja is well known on the Bournemouth circuit for both his hair, promoting and acoustic work. Expect stripped back Foo Fighters to be mixed with original tunes.
