The sad news that the Bournemouth iBar is to close on the 14th August has come as a bitter blow to the whole Bournemouth music scene. The Rock Regeneration team has had the pleasure of attending many great nights there, although the venue did not provide the best of facilities the spirit of a blossoming music scene was developing.
Promoter Dom Patience and Sound man Leigh Simmons have to be congratulated for all the efforts that they put in to this great venue who have played host to all the following acts:
Gallows / Trash Talk / Cancer Bats / The Ghost Of A Thousand / Deez Nuts / Dangerous Summer / Tellison / A Loss For Words / Hadouken! / Frank Turner / Rolo Tomassi / A1 Bassline / Modestep / Evil Nine / Does It Offend You, Yeah? / Dananakroyd / Kris Roe (Ataris) / Futures / Deaf Havana / Swellers / Iglu & Hartly / Air Traffic/Polar/ The Longest Day/Kassius/Kids Can’t Fly/ I Met Nature/Pump Action Stereo/Don Broco/Burn The Fleet/Straight Lines/Peace Love & Gloves/Not Advised/Checking Pulse/Don Ramos Players/Fei Comodo and so so many more.
The iBar has one last night before it’s closure on the 12th August with Bournemouth band Death Of An Artist due to perform with further special guests also planned.
